Each transient booking stores whether the booking was created by a transient boater or the specific staff member who created the booking and this information is displayed in the booking form.
For marinas that allow shared access, meaning that several staff members may use the same user session in Dockit such as in the case of a computer in the front office, we provide an alternative to logging out and logging back in as the correct staff member.
In this scenario, each staff member is provided with a unique 3 digit code and they can view their code in their profile form.
To enable this feature, go to Admin=>Slip Management Settings
=>Transient Bookings. Then go into each staff record and enable this same feature.
When enabled, staff will be able to enter their valid 3-digit code in order to proceed with the booking. The booking Entered By value will be the full name of the staff member with that matching unique code. if not entered, the booking will be recorded as the logged in staff member.
